The pieces on the program are based on the repertoire of “city” gypsy violinists – who inspired, in the late 19th century, also Franz Liszt and from the traditional folk music of remote villages, often isolated for centuries.
Joy, sorrow, rebellion, and a desire for freedom are the feelings that are released through wonderful melodies and rhythms of frenetic dances.
